My friends and I came hungry and we're not disappointed. A great local joint with personality.

We had a half pound of brisket, half pound of sausage, half chicken, pound of ribs, and fried chicken, sides were beans and potato salad, and followed with their Peach Cobbler.

The brisket was hot and tender, had a good smoke ring, and good flavor, with just enough sauce to let you know it was there, not enough to overpower the beef.

The sausage was good, great smoke ring and flavor, a little on the dry side, but was better if covered in sauce.

    The ribs were good.

The half chicken and fried chicken were amazing. Moist, smokey, and crispy are all good adjectives describing the chicken.

My friends said the beans were flavorful, I could have passed on the potato salad.

The peach cobbler was amazing, we were told that they have a lady that makes it for them. Definitely something to get a serving of.

This place was disgusting! The last time I had Sam's, it had a chewed up piece of gum on my plate. There was even more gum on the beans.
I don't recommend to come here.

Probably the best Barbecue in Midland. Everything is great, the sausage is by far the best. Order by the puDon't forget to grab some cobbler and ice cream.

A very good, family owned restaurant in Midland. The service couldn't have been better. I ordered the fried catfish and even though it took a little longer, it was definitely worth the wait. Excellent tea and a neat, friendly atmosphere. For sure a hidden little gem in a town were service seldom means anything. I will absolutely be back.

I like this place!  I heard there wasn't good BBQ here in the area. This was nicely smoked and fresh tasting. I tried a chicken and rib combo. It comes with potato salad and beans, pickle, onion and jalapeño. All fine. The potato salad isn't to my taste.  The ribs were crave worthy. Spare ribs with some chew and a tangy sauce. I loved the peach cobbler, topped with ice cream.  Yum!
